Founded as an independent private advisory house within the intellectual community of the University of British Columbia.

The firm grew from conversations among scholars, students, founders and emerging business leaders who shared a common conviction: that valuable ideas should not remain confined to the classroom, the laboratory or the drawing board. Some ideas deserve to become companies. Some companies require a different course of ownership, capital or strategy. And some established enterprises require thoughtful advice at moments of transition.
